UPSC CDS Examination Recruitment 2026 — 451 Vacancies Notification Out, Last Date 11 June 2026
Application start ho gayi hai 20 May 2026 se aur last date hai 11 June 2026 (extended), shaam 6:00 PM tak. Exam date fixed hai 13 September 2026 ko. Job location all-India basis pe hai, aur training ke baad posting anywhere in India ho sakti hai depending upon the service you join. Salary ki baat karein toh starting pay Level 10 ki hai, matlab Rs. 56,100 per month stipend during training se shuru hoti hai, aur after commissioning salary aur bhi badh jaati hai with various allowances like DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, Medical coverage, aur LTC benefits. Job security toh hai hi — defence services mein officer banne ka mauka, aur 20 saal ke baad pension bhi milti hai. Career growth potential unlimited hai — Lieutenant se lekar General tak ja sakte ho.

Stage 2: SSB Intelligence & Personality Test
Written exam qualify karne wale candidates ko respective Services HQ ke through SSB test ke liye bulaya jayega. SSB two-stage process follow karta hai:
Stage I: Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) Tests aur Picture Perception & Description Test (PP&DT). Sirf Stage I clear karne wale hi Stage II mein allowed hain.
Stage II: Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests, aur Conference — 4 din mein complete hota hai. Personality ko Interviewing Officer (IO), Group Testing Officer (GTO), aur Psychologist jointly assess karte hain, with equal weightage.
SSB Schedule:
- IMA/INA/AFA candidates: February – March 2027 (tentative)
- OTA candidates: April – June 2027 (tentative)
AFA Special: Har AFA candidate ko CPSS/PABT sirf ek baar diya jaata hai. Pehle test mein jo grade mila, woh har subsequent interview ke liye valid hai. Jo candidates pehle CPSS fail kar chuke hain, ya jo habitually spectacles wear karte hain, woh Air Force ke liye eligible nahi hain.
Stage 3: Medical Examination

- IMA/INA/AFA: Aggregate (Final Marks) equal hone pe written total se rank; phir GK marks; phir age (senior ranked higher)
